About Kate
Kate is Artistic Director at award-nominated company Theatre 6, Associate Director at Upstart Theatre and winner of the Noel Coward Trainee Director Bursary 2011 - 2012 at The Salisbury Playhouse.
She has a First Class degree from The Central School of Speech and Drama and trained on the One Year Director's Course at Drama Studio London. As an applied theatre consultant Kate has lead projects with children and adults in Dorset, Kosova, Romania and Hungary.
Her recent directing credits include Mr Happiness and The Water Engine in the Old Vic Tunnels Screening Room (Time Out Critic's Choice), 13 new plays for Script Slam! at the Soho Theatre, the award winning Never Any Fruit at the Pleasance Theatre Islington and a 5 star revival of Jonson's The Devil Is An Ass at The White Bear Theatre.

Kate is the winner of the 2011 - 2012 Noel Coward Trainee Director Bursary at The Salisbury Playhouse. She will be based in Wiltshire from 19th December 2011 until 16th March 2012.
As associate Director at Upstart Theatre Kate recently founded Theatre Speed Date, which has now become a regular event at the Young Vic Theatre for emerging writers and directors.
Kate has also been invited by The Tristan Bates Theatre to direct a theatre installation entitled 'Money Vs. Happiness' for the Nu:Write Festival in Zagreb. This new project will be performed at midnight on 19th November in Croatia.
In 2012 she will co-direct feature film 'Intervention Inc.', a Hitchcock inspired project produced by Theatre6 and Third Act Twist. The teaser trailer is currently being edited for release at the end of 2011.
